My name is Double Dip – I'm one of the team members of the Koala Chlamydia Vaccine Research Program! I know how lucky I am to have Vet Abby and Vet Nurse Tash looking after me, but not all Koalas are as lucky as me.
Up to 48% of all Koalas in Australia are infected with chlamydia. It’s one of the leading causes of death for Australian Koalas, and if left untreated, it can lead to infertility and permanent blindness.

Being in the wrong place at the wrong time nearly cost me my life. I was trying to cross a busy highway when I was hit by a car, which meant I suffered major abdominal trauma.
It was a terrifying experience, but luckily I was brought to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital where the team gave me life-saving surgery.

Currumbin Wildlife Hospital’s Chlamydia Vaccine Research Program is just getting started, and they need your support to keep doing this critical work. The great news for us Koalas is that Currumbin Wildlife Hospital is developing the technology and resources to change the life of every koala patient, but they can’t do it without your help.
So please, will you donate today to vaccinate another Koala like me?
